TWO CHAINZ

Here’s something a little more formal. I'm wearing a 'finders keepers' dress underneath and then I've added a black skirt I had made to make it a full length get up. If you have a formal occasion coming up and you can do something a little shorter underneath and you don't want to spend hundreds on a dress then this is pretty easy. You need a plainer cocktail/party dress for the inside, a line dresses work best, and then the full length part is basically a few metres of chiffon wrapped around the waist!

SABO

I unfortunately experienced some unexpected technical difficulties with my camera while taking some snaps of this outfit, so I’m a little disappointed I didn't get the chance to take proper photos of the actual product; like my shoes for example. They are probably the coolest boots I’ve ever seen and I love them like no other. I thank Jeffrey Campbell everytime the soft, perforated suede hugs my feet.

These shorts that I’m wearing are from Sabo Skirt and they were under $60, much like most things on their site! I fist heard of their online boutique when I stumbled across their blog a while ago and between all the appealing, affordable fashion options on their online store I found the background of the company really impressive.  The owners are two young ladies like myself, and they’ve started this amazing company on their own. It’s motivating.

DELEVINGNE DELIGHTS

Not my traditional outfit post today seeing as I'm still weathering the cyclone and recovering from having no electricity for 3 entire days, so, here we have a little shrine of Cara. My current girl crush and most favourite person to stalk on instagram, she won me over with her "aint no wifey" shirt... what a babe.

PRINTS

I’m wearing the same print again except the last time I was wearing the pants- same print but huge difference. Either way I’m a sucker for a good print. My Maurie and Eve obsession will never end. I think I’m just going to purchase monochrome outfits from now on, take a leaf out of Kimmy K’s book which is technically Kanye’s writing since he changed her for the better.  

I bought these shoes so long ago from All Saints in LA and I still wear them from time to time.

BETWEEN THE SHEETS AND ON THE STREETS

In putting this little ensemble together I looked at the man himself, Mr Hugh Heffner and thought, “if he can, then why can’t I?” Although this clover canyon matching get up isn’t accurately classified as sleep wear, I didn’t exactly feel safe from the prying eyes of the public in this number. But back to Heffner, with the resurgence of sleep wear for day wear I cant help but think do we have the captain of the play boy mansion to thank for this one? Or is it Chanel who in the early twenties would often lounge in her pj’s even though at the time they were considered inappropriate for women and were accepted as a male sleeping suit. Whoever it was, let us say thanks!

May I just add, ‘Heffner’ is somehow considered a term in my office word dictionary and no I did not add it but I was informed with a condescending red line when I left out the second ‘f’… don't know why I felt the need to mention that, but there you go!
